The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008
(CPSIA) mandates that all products including toys, jewelry, apparel, furniture and other goods marketed toward children meet
lower lead content limits effective February 10, 2009.
If you are a retailer, distributor, manufacturer,
or seller of any children’s products, you are required to comply with the many aspects of CPSIA or face fines up to
$100,000 or 5 years in jail.
What services we offer
Do you want to gain piece of mind knowing that your children’s products and
play toys are compliant and meet the new lower lead limits?
The fastest and easiest method of testing toys, jewelry, apparel,
furniture and other goods is by using hand-held X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instruments.
As these XRF analyzers can cost upwards of $25,000 to $50,000 each, it is not economical for small businesses and non-profits
to purchase an instrument for lead testing.
CBRNE Technologies Corporation offers the least expensive AND most thorough testing available. We will come to your facility and test your inventory for you. This
testing complies with the “general conformity certification” allowed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC) until August 2009.
We perform on-site testing in retail
stores, distribution centers, homes, libraries, thrift stores, manufacturing facilities, day care centers and schools.
